Braille Name Generator
Braille is a tactile way of reading — small patterns of raised dots felt with the fingertips. This generator lets you see what your name looks like in braille, and share it.

About this tool
Each letter of the entered name is converted into Grade 1 (uncontracted) Unified English Braille. Capital indicators are not included — the braille shows the lowercase form for visual simplicity.
Accented letters such as é, ñ, ö, and ç are kept in the printed name but reduced to their base letter for the braille (so “Renée” becomes “renee” in the dots). German ß becomes “ss”.
A braille cell is a 2×3 grid of dot positions, numbered:
1 · 4
2 · 5
3 · 6
Filled circles in the generated image represent dots that would be raised on the page. Empty circles show the cell structure but mark positions where there is no raised dot.
